In 2023, the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ is went down under, to Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, two vibrant countries that champion equality, community, and diversity. The first to be co-hosted by two nations from two confederations in the Southern Hemisphere, featuring 32 teams that showcased women’s football on the world stage. 

This tournament saw immense success, smashing FIFA’s ticket sales target of 1.5 million attendees, with 1.98 million attendees spectating at 64 matches played across 10 stadiums. As one of the home nations, the Matilda’s Semi Final vs England became Australia’s most watched televised event with 11.15 million viewers nationally.
