At Events Pty Ltd (ABN 33 613 000 543) is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By engaging our services, making an enquiry, or entering any At Events competition, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in this policy.

  1. DATA COLLECTED & WHY

We collect personal information which may include, but is not limited to your name, business name, contact details, payment information, event preferences, booking history and any other information you provide to us in connection with an enquiry, booking, event attendance, competition entry, or account management. We may collect this information directly from you, including through our website, email, phone calls, forms, meetings, and bookings, or referral sources; and through our website or digital services using cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies. This information is used to:

  • Deliver event management and corporate hospitality services
  • Process bookings, invoices, and payments
  • Administer competitions and fulfil prizes
  • Communicate with you about your event or enquiry
  • Send marketing communications where you have consented
  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations

  1. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

We will only send you marketing communications if you have provided explicit consent. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting info@atevents.com.au or by using the unsubscribe link in any email sent. Opting out of marketing will not affect the delivery of services you have booked.

  1. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may disclose your personal information to venue partners, suppliers, contractors, payment processors, financial institutions, and our service providers where reasonably necessary to deliver our services or operate our business. This includes cloud-based software and service providers we use for customer relationship management, email, collaboration, bookkeeping, accounting, storage, and administration, including Microsoft 365 and other cloud-based CRM, accounting, and business platforms.

Where you are booked into an event operated by a third party, we may also disclose your personal information to the relevant organiser or venue to facilitate your attendance and manage the booking. Those third parties may have their own privacy policies, and you may be subject to their handling of your information as well.

We may disclose personal information to overseas recipients, including cloud service providers and software platforms, where data is stored or processed outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure those providers handle personal information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

  1. SECURITY

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure. Whilst we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic data storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of personal information transmitted to or stored by us or our third-party service providers.

 

In the event of a data breach, whether caused by external unauthorised access, cyberattack, or failure of a third-party platform’s security systems, that is likely to result in serious harm to affected individuals, At Events will comply with its obligations under the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme, including notifying the OAIC and affected individuals as required.

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request that we correct any inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. We will respond to all access and correction requests within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
